Marshmallow Cereal Treat Mummies & Monsters

Prep: 45 minutes plus chilling • Serves: 16

Piggly Wiggly® vegetable oil non-stick cooking spray
1 bag (10 ounces) Piggly Wiggly® mini marshmallows
5 tablespoons Piggly Wiggly® unsalted butter
1 teaspoon Piggly Wiggly® pure vanilla extract
6 cups Piggly Wiggly® crispy rice toasted rice cereal
2 bags (10 ounces each) white chocolate melting wafers
2 drops yellow food coloring
1 drop red food coloring
Different sized candy eyeballs

1.Line 13 x 9-inch baking dish with aluminum foil so that foil extends about 2 inches over sides of dish; spray with cooking spray.

2.In large saucepot, melt marshmallows, butter and vanilla extract over medium-low heat; fold in cereal. Firmly press marshmallow mixture into even layer in prepared dish; refrigerate 2 hours.

3.Line 2 rimmed baking pans with parchment paper. Using overhanging sides of foil, transfer cereal bar to cutting board and remove foil; cut into 16 (3 x 2-inch) rectangles.

4.Melt chocolate wafers as label directs; divide into 2 small bowls. Add yellow and red food coloring to 1 bowl; stir until incorporated. For Mummies, dip 8 rectangles fully in white chocolate to coat; place on 1 prepared pan and refrigerate 20 minutes. For Monsters, dip 1 end of remaining 8 rectangles halfway into orange chocolate to coat; place on remaining prepared pan, place candy eyeballs on chocolate as desired and refrigerate 20 minutes.

5.For Mummies, reheat melted white chocolate wafers if it begins to harden; drizzle over Mummies to create “mummy wrappings.” Place candy eyeballs on treats as desired and refrigerate 20 minutes or until chocolate hardens. Makes 16 treats.
